Pre-placement screening

Our online pre-placement screenings meet the needs of both health and safety and employment legislation.

We were the first national provider to offer online screening. Our customers complete around 18,000 pre-placement screenings every year in line with the Equality Act.

Our screenings are designed to:

  • Identify the prospective employee's potential fitness for the job
  • Determine that no medical condition would make them a safety risk to themselves or others
  • Identify any pre-existing medical conditions, to recommend any necessary reasonable adjustments.

We conduct screenings through our Health Portal.  The system is easy to use and removes the need for paper-based questionnaires.

If your prospective employee does not have internet access, we can also provide a telephone screening service, led by an occupational health administrator.

The Equality Act 2010 came into force on 1 October 2010.  Section 60 of the Act prohibits employers from asking an applicant about their health prior to offering them work. This is to prevent discrimination at recruitment stage against those who declare a health issue.  Read more
