The competency of the medics we provide to our clients is
critical to ensure the best quality of medical care. To
ensure that all of our medics meet the required competence
standard, we deliver training courses at our medical
training unit.
The courses delivered have been developed in line with industry
requirements. They are subject to regular audit and are
reviewed regularly to ensure that they comply with relevant
regulation, and meet approval from bodies such as the Health and
Safety Executive, the Royal Environmental Health Institute and the
Faculty of Pre-Hospital Care based within the Royal College of
Surgeons of Edinburgh.
Our courses are delivered by our in-house team of training
officers, who are all health care professionals with years of
experience in the industry, including remote area medicine, and
involvement with rescue organisations. The training officers work
closely with the health teams both in the UK Continental Shelf
(UKCS), and globally.
To make sure the highest standard of pre-hospital care is met,
all of our training courses include a knowledge-based theory
element, followed by practical assessment to ensure the highest
level of competency.
We maintain strong industrial links, sensible operational
practices, and enthusiasm to make sure our courses are based on the
best available evidence, which is vital when choosing training
activities.
